Tips for a positive mindset in the Corona era, part 2.

Do not underestimate the influence of your thoughts.

Did you know that your thoughts have a lot of influence on how you feel and on your entire mindset? Mindset is the way you think. It actually consists of the whole pattern of thoughts you have every day. Those thoughts are often positive or negative. This applies to normal life, but also to billiard matches. Often you don’t even realize that you have ended up in a negative mindset because of your negative thoughts. You must first become aware of this before you can change it. Consider how many negative thoughts you have in a day; especially in these times when fear and uncertainty predominate. If you wrote them down, I think you’d be shocked.

If you find yourself in a negative spiral, the only way to get out of it is to focus on positivity. Feed yourself with nice and pleasant thoughts. Bring back beautiful memories and try to focus as much as possible on the positive things in your life. No matter how small they are. By constantly drawing attention to this, the negative thoughts will disappear a bit more into the background. Do you want to reduce your negative thoughts? Try to turn a negative thought into something fun, beautiful or positive. Or put aside the negative thought (because you can’t change the situation now) and think of something beautiful or a nice memory. So don’t think; if I don’t miss this ball, visualize the ball going in the right direction. That is quite difficult at first, but eventually, it goes faster and faster. This way you can positively influence your mindset, which will also make you feel better and have more energy.

Extra tip: use the effect of positive words. Because positive words also affect you. Make a list of those words that make you happy and try to use them regularly in your communication.
